Transition

An Executive Transition Steering Group consisting of leaders from both schools has been established and will report to Dalhousie President Tom Traves and Deputy Minister Paul LaFleche. The group meets bi-weekly and the first priority is to map and monitor what needs to happen towards the merger, specifically focusing on:

  • Monitoring progress of transition – task completion and timeliness;
  • Ensuring coordination and effective communications of transition;
  • Identifying and/or resolving issues
  • Identifying regular and special communications items
  • “What About….”  Identification of actions or tasks that need to be addressed as part of transition.

The current members of the Transition Steering Committee are:

The Transition Steering Committee expects that additional members will join the group shortly as we move into the details of the merger transition. The group will continue to oversee transition activities until the significant work of the merger is complete which is expected over the next year or more. Details of the significant transitional activities will be outlined the near future.
